The 2008 Chicago Multidisciplinary Symposium in Thoracic Oncology (formerly the Chicago Symposium on Malignancies of the Chest and Head and Neck) will bring together physician specialists from North America and abroad presenting lectures and symposiums on an interdisciplinary approach for the treatment of thoracic cancers. The scientific program will provide information on the latest developments in basic and clinical research. The meeting is co-sponsored by ASTRO, ASCO, IASLC and the University of Chicago.

Radiation therapy, surgery and chemotherapy are used together to treat lung cancer, and a multidisciplinary meeting will promote interaction between these disciplines in order to achieve advances in patient care.
